Ruby Norman was the daughter of Benjamin Rufus Fisher and Lessi May Walls who were married on Sept. 20, 1894 near Steve, Yell county, Arkansas.
The small community of Steve is 20 miles northeast "as the crow flies" of Hot Springs on 314.
Benjamin Rufus died April 26, 1955 of hardening of the arteries and kidney poisening. He is buried in Elmwood Cemetary at Wagoner.
